Biography

Dr. Lynn Myhal has provided integral leadership coaching and organization development to senior executives and their teams in both the public and private sectors for 25 years. Educated as a research scientist in biology, she uses her experience as a manager in the federal government along with extensive advanced education and certification in organization development, integral coaching, various validated assessment instruments, and management consulting to support executives and teams in obtaining the products of coaching: long-term excellence that is self-correcting and self-generating.

Lynn worked for several agencies in the federal government for 14 years, many of them in leadership positions, before beginning her own coaching and consulting practice. Her government clients have included the EPA, NASA, CIA, NSA, DOD, USGS, USDA, NOAA, NRO, Treasury, the FDIC, IRS, HHS, US Forest Service, USAID, and the Tulare County, California, District Attorney’s office. Dr. Myhal’s commercial clients have included individual executives and executive teams at Bank of the West, Capital Impact Partners, Microsoft, Google, Genentech, Juniper Networks, Oracle, Oblix, Inc., Lightwave, Inc., Serena Software, Inc., ST Microelectronics, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Sun Microsystems, Inc., Verisign, Inc., the Wharton and Rice eMBA programs, and the Partnership for Public Service. She has also worked with many nonprofit Executive Directors.

Dr. Myhal designed and taught coaching courses in the Graduate Psychology school of John F. Kennedy U. for five years and also served on the faculty of New Ventures West, a certified coach training school. She has been certified as a Master Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation since 2007 and is also an active member of several professional organizations, including the International Coach Federation, the Institute for Management Consultants, and the Bay Area Executive Development Network.

Lynn enjoyed serving for many years on the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, where she held several leadership positions. She lives in Silicon Valley with her husband, who served as a senior executive in the Federal Government. She brings breadth, depth and a sense of humor to all of her relationships, and is passionate about bringing joy and freedom to clients in their workplaces.
