Biography

I truly believe that communications is the foundation of everything. Leadership, management, teamwork, negotiation, sales, conflict resolution and everything else that leads to our professional success is founded in our ability to communicate effectively.

So now you are trying to come up with something to counter my absolute language which I usually tell people not to use. I would do the same thing. Tell me what you come up with.

Whatever the situation my personal mission is to help individual and organizations communicate with clarity, confidence, and connection. The last one is as important as the rest since real relationships lead to real results. That is the theory behind my book The 11 Laws Of Likability: Relationship Networking…Because People Do Business With People They Like.

I appeared on CBS Money Watch, Fox 5’s Good Day NY, and over 70 radio shows across the country including; Gayle King, NPR, Martha Stewart Living, and the John Tesh show. I have been quoted in the New York Times, The Star Ledger, Working Mother and Real Simple magazines, US News & World Report, on MSNBC, and Monster.com among others. My book, articles, quizzes and videos have been featured on USA Today, AOL, Forbes, CNBC, & About.com.

Testimonials (6)

Amy Bell, Vice President - IT Process and Controls | Citi

“Michelle is a dynamic speaker who is not only a subject matter expert in her field, but also presents to a roomful of strangers as though she’s talking to a group of friends, while maintaining her professionalism. Her book, the 11 Laws of Likability puts on paper, thereby confirming, what we should all be doing to further personal networking efforts. Michelle puts a new perspective on a taking an important, though occasionally considered mundane, task, and makes people want to network, by building authentic connections and not how to avoid the ‘what can they do for me’ attitude.” August 6, 2012

Cassandra Ondich, Creative Recruiter | Update Graphics

“Michelle is the most engaging communicator that I have had the privilege to watch present and to speak with. She has the skills of listening to what is being asked or said, analyzing, and being a phenomenal motivator to anyone, whether it be for an individual or for an entire team. Michelle’s ability to connect with any audience relays to her experience and I would recommend that everyone seize the opportunity to listen or chat with her -- she IS The Likability!” July 9, 2012
