Testimonials (8)

Rev. James Suber, LCSW, Program Manager | Atlanta Interfaith AIDS Network

I am writing on behalf of everyone at Atlanta Interfaith AIDS Network to sincerely thank you for taking the time to come and speak yesterday. Your valuable time was greatly appreciated! Your session was so moving and engaging that you promoted some clients, who had before never felt comfortable enough to participate in the dialogue of our sessions, to open up and share. You made such an impact on all of us, but to those men in particular, yesterday was special. Having the opportunity to meet and discuss with you was an honor and a pleasure, and I hope we again get the treat of having you come see us again. Thanks again

Vivian Cheely, CEO | A Company of Women/4th Annual Women's Appreciation Celebration

Our 4th Annual Women's Appreciation Celebration was a wonderful success. You have always been supportive of our Annual Celebration and your ongoing support is appreciated. We want to thank you for planning to join us each year no matter what is on your schedule. Your presence at the celebration was very important to me, when we first called on you to speak even though you perhaps had not planned to do so, your comments helped to set the tone for the day. You simply pulled together in just a few sentences what the celebration was all about, thank you so much for your spontaneity. We had over 150 women in attendance, from all over the Inland Empire and Los Angeles County area. You provided a new and welcome dimension to the celebration.

James Bailey, Ret Army LPN, LMT, CEO | House of Refuge Ministries

Sandy Rodgers is a remarkable and Soulful being that has a way of spreading light to others where ever she goes. Sandy bears a wonderful demeanor of inner restoration of the Mind, Body and Soul. Sandy is swift to hear and slow to speak, similar to Jesus when he stooped down to write on the ground when asked challenging questions. He wasn't quick to speak or answer and when he did, his answer was full of truth and great wisdom. Sandy portrays this gift of wisdom coupled with understanding that God has a purpose for everyone's life. In conclusion Sandy is a walking breathe of fresh air...allowing fresh knowledge and understanding of an individual to be recognized personally.

Rev. Guy Pujol, D.Min, Executive Director | AIDS Allaince for Faith and Health

AAFH is pleased to collaborate with Rev. Sandy. Rev. Sandy facilitates the Common Ground support group each Thursday, incorporating her Living Honorable with HIV/AIDS information and resources into the Common Ground structure. Rev. Sandy takes the time to meet with many of the participants on a one-on-one basis to offer her support and encouragement as they seek to improve their quality of life.

Katie Shaw, Secretary | Annointed Living In Victory And Empowered

The women at A.L.I.V.E. Christian Center and I want to thank you for coming by and particiapting in our ay of Praise and Pampering. It was indeed a great delight to have met you and appreciate the sharing of your powerful testimony and access to your wonderful books. What a tremendous blessing.

Jerry Stoddard, Security Manager, UGC Village | Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games - ACOG

Ms Rodgers worked with me during the 1996 Olympic Games in Athens, Georgia. She took charge of the over one hundred security volunteers, providing training, supervision and kept up with their work schedules. She did an outstanding job and her efforts contributed to the success of the games in Athens. Part of her work insecurity entailed working with law enforcement, military personnel, the general public and other ACOG employees. She was able to do this with great skill Ms Rodgers is well organized, stays focused and has a tremendous work ethic, always coming to work early and staying until all tasks are completed. She is a people person.

Darryl Hood, Anchor/Reporter Fox5 News | Fox 5 News

I had the opportunity to work with Sandy when Nu Vision was based in Los Angeles. I witnessed her build the company from and with nothing more than an idea. NuVision became a bright spot in a community that has had its share of tough times. It was a place young people and adults could go and spend time bettering themselves, including me. With Sandy's guidance I learned a sense of responsibility and how to serve as a leader. Nu Visions is where I learned how to really believe in myself. Sandy taught me as well as others that with hard work and determination, a person could accomplish anything they set out to. I'm doing exactly what I want to with my life; serving people as a TV news broadcaster.

John Malone, Ed.D, CBA Program Manager | National AIDS Education and Services for Minorities

I am pleased to write this letter in support for Sandy Rodgers Ministries Inc. The Reverend Sandy Rodgers is professional, motivated, ambitious, compassionate and focused on social reform for community advancement. I met Sandy through her participation with the 2009 African American MSM Leadership Conference on HIV/AIDS. She received rave reviews and provided the conference with a different, yet mush needed perspective regarding spiritual growth. I think it was different for the LGBT community to see that the church community can be culturally sensitive. Sandy's presence truly made a difference. I believe that Sandy's gift is working with at risk and under-served populations.

Sample Talks (5)

The Authentic Self Life Skills

Presented workshop to lead workers in the domestic violence field. The focus was on caring and honoring one's self in the midst of caring for others. Caregivers often neglect their needs, this discussion offered insights on self-care

REMEMBERING - FORGIVING - LOVING

Within the HIV/AIDS community exists major areas of unforgiveness, regrets, shame and guilt. This talk helps the group to identify the core issues. Name them honestly as best they can. Fully experience the emotions attached to the situation. Nest the persons are taken through a series of exercises to forgive first themselves, the other person(s) and the situation. The final leg of this training is the acceptance of love into their lives as a meaningful component to healthy living.

Being Still While Sitting in The Gap

Helps individuals experiencing losses of any kind to find a way to handle the emotions and survive the trauma of the situation. The discussion offers ways to dismantle the issue, bring some closure and understand that the opportunity/challenge can never define their personhood. Recognize and identify the inherent value and goodness of the individual.

When God Leads. . . just follow

Humans are often being guided to use their talents and gifts but do not. We have become conditioned and trained by systems that simply will not recognize our genius nor suggest that we have them. We explore the inner voice that is always speaking to us, even when we are not listening.

THE ROSE GARDEN...remembering our beauty in tough times

Women are the givers of life, the only gender capable and equipped to bring new life forward. Women must recognize their power in the soft and feminine attributes. Women will be the key to restoring peace and dignity to the world conflicts that men have created. The talk focuses on issues that hinder and prevent women from living their authenticity.
