Biography

Alex Wong is an adjunct professor in Computer Science who has taught at Loyola Marymount University since 2018. His specialty areas include Computer Graphics, Image Processing, Computer Vision and Machine Learning. Alex comes to LMU by way UCLA, where he taught as a teaching associate for several years. Alex continues to conduct research at UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science, where he works on an array of topics dealing with machine learning in application to computer vision.

University of California, Los Angeles: Ph.D., Computer Science 2018

Ph.D. student under the guidance of Prof. Alan L. Yuille and Professor Stefano Soatto. His research focused on 3D reconstruction via stereo and monocular cameras. He worked on the unsupervised disparity and depth estimation problem using convolutional neural work.

While earning his MS in Computer Science at UCLA, Alex was involved in Upsilon Pi Epsilon.
