Biography

Swank’s teaching interests include neuromuscular rehabilitation matching my clinical practice in an outpatient neurologic physical therapy clinic. He serves as a mentor and Academic Coordinator for the Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation – Texas Woman’s University Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy where licensed physical therapists are prepared to be specialists in caring for individuals with neurologic disability. Accordingly, his research interests follow suit with the focus on investigating the interaction between motor and cognitive function in people with neurologic injury. Outside the office, he serves as Board President for Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society. For fun, he and his wife try to keep up with their two children who continue to grow up too fast.
