CHARLENE SCOTT is an adjunct professor. A licensed clinical social worker, she currently works at Riverwalk Counseling Center in Naperville, Illinois. She is also a certified alcohol and drug counselor, a Type 73 school social worker and a certified intervention professional.
Scott has been working in behavioral health since 1986. Over the last 20 years, she developed two successful programs for co-occurring disorders at MacNeal Hospital and Linden Oaks Hospital in Illinois. She has had extensive training in arise interventions, group psychotherapy, analytical/psychodynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and addiction counselor training. She is active in the treatment community on a national level to stay current with treatment programs and approaches.
Her professional credentials include a bachelor’s degree in science from Indiana University, a master’s degree in social work from Loyola University of Chicago and a post-master’s certificate in school social work from Aurora University.
