Biography
Charles Bass joined the University of San Diego in June 2011 as director of Alumni Relations and is responsible for overall management of the university’s alumni relations efforts. In addition to private sector experience, Bass has spent more than 15 years in higher education advancement and has worked on the staff of the Villanova University Alumni Association, as well as served as the senior alumni relations officer at the University of Denver and at his alma mater, The University of Tulsa.
Bass has worked regionally and nationally to advance the alumni relations profession, serving in a variety of volunteer roles for the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE). He served as a faculty member for CASE’s “Newcomers in Alumni Relations” workshop and as a regional volunteer for CASE District II, District IV and District VI. Bass is also a co-founder of PCUAD, an association of private college and university alumni directors.
