CHERYL WILSON is part of the adjunct faculty. A licensed clinical social worker, she currently serves as a behavioral health care manager in health insurance, supervising a team of licensed clinical mental health professionals in utilization management working with providers in a targeted Medicaid population.
She provides professional development, coaching, training and consultative services to the team and works collaboratively with medical and mental health professionals, including psychologists and psychiatrists, in case consultations and case rounds. She also offers online consultations for participants with medical and mental health complexities. She has experience overseeing case managers to help facilitate treatment for the adult population in disease management and behavioral health.
Her area of expertise is in grant-funded programs, specifically working with school administration on behavioral reform in middle and high school settings. She also boasts an extensive background serving children and families, particularly providing clinical outpatient treatment working with the Department of Children and Families, Boys and Girls Village, and Clifford Beers.
