Biography
Clint Tuttle is a lecturer in the Information, Risk, & Operations Management (IROM) department at the McCombs School of Business at The University of Texas at Austin. Tuttle teaches traditional and online versions of Intro to IT Management as well as the MIS capstone course, Business Systems Development.
After Tuttle’s first semester teaching at McCombs, he was awarded the Texas Exes Teaching Award, a student-nominated award. He was also awarded the 2015 Harkins Foundation Award for effective teaching.
Starting in Fall 2015, Tuttle has created a parody of a popular song to communicate the importance of Excel to his students. In the Fall of 2015 he chose Uptown Funk with Excel Funcs and in Spring '16 he created the internet sensation "Learn Excel" with over 1M views to Justin Bieber's song, "Love Yourself."
Tuttle has experience as an IT Consultant for Accenture, focusing on IT Project Management and declaring Oracle and SAP ERP implementations across retail, high tech and healthcare industries.

Today in Connecting with the Youth: a University of Texas business professor covered Justin Bieber's "Love Yourself" — with a delightfully nerdy Microsoft Excel twist. This song has jokes. It has usable, practical business lessons. It even uses "butt" instead of "ass," so that children of all ages can delve deep into the wonders that are pivot tables. Wow. As a treat for his students on their last day of class, Tuttle performed a rendition of Bieber’s “Love Yourself” with some slightly altered lyrics. “And if you think I lie, just ask your boss/ They’ll tell ya ‘you should go and learn Excel’,” Tuttle belts in front of a slide projecting the song’s lyrics, which also include lines like, “My students don’t like it but then they see the light/ And they never like to admit that I was right.”
