Biography

Hal Vincent is a Lecturer at Elon University and spent 15 years in advertising and integrated communications agencies in account management and strategy for brands such as Nabisco, Tropicana, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, The Orlando Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Florida Aquarium.

Vincent is the current Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (AEJMC) Vice-Head of the Advertising Division and serves on the board of directors of the American Advertising Federation of the Triangle. Additionally, Vincent chairs the organization’s education committee, bringing together many educational institutions and initiatives with the Advertising Federation membership to offer programming and support to build the Triangle’s student and young professional advertising community.

His research has appeared in Journalism and Mass Communications Educator, The Journal of Advertising Education, is a frequent presenter at national academic and professional conferences. He is a co-author of the book, "The Student-Run Agency: Transitioning from Student to Professional."
