Biography
Currently assistant professor at Saint Mary’s University, Dr. Pladson was also an assistant superintendent for Bloomington Public Schools and principal of Hubert Olson Elementary School in Bloomington. She was also the director of Teaching and Learning at Eden Prairie Schools and teacher/principal in two greater Minnesota districts. Dr. Pladson brought knowledge and understanding of educational leadership with a values-driven, relationship-based philosophy. She co-led the renovations of 15 school buildings in Bloomington that aligned the facility with the education program design. She was named a National Distinguished Principal in Minnesota in 1995 and was awarded the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award in 1997.
