• Born in the Bronx NY currently live in Marietta Georgia.
• Earned a BA in History from Lehman College.

• One of the original founders of the Rainforest Alliance out of NYC.
• Member of the Georgia State Curriculum Committee in 1996.

• A former President of the Vegetarian Society of Georgia.
• Lead plaintiff in Selman vs. Cobb County Board of Education – a successful federal landmark case protecting science education. The case concerned the teaching of Evolution vs. Creationism / Intelligent Design in public school science classes and focused specifically on disclaimers against evolution inserted in biology textbooks
