Biography

KATHRYN KAY is a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience in mental health and multiple health care settings, including oncology, hospice and kidney dialysis. She has years of direct practice and management experience, including oversight of an adolescent psychiatric unit.

Most recently, she served as manager of social work and transitional care at Skagit Regional Health, where she supervised employees and students working in the emergency department, psychiatric unit and on the medical floors. During her tenure, she worked with the director of case management to develop a palliative medicine program as well as an effective model for transitional care in the hospital and community settings, highlighting the role of social workers.
