In the wake of the terrorist bombing in Manchester England – citizens are coming together in a show of spirit, strength and solidarity. Hundreds of people are now lining up for a tattoo of a small bee. The bee is the symbol of the city, harkening back to the days when Manchester was the center of Britain’s textile industry.

At Farmingdale State College, Dr. Michelle Miranda is an Associate Professor and an expert in forensic science and tattoos. She can speak of tattoos, the risks and the cultural significance of getting inked. She is available to speak with media – simply click on her icon to arrange an interview.
