Biography
Rebecca Smotherman, a counseling, leadership and special education instructor at Missouri State University, was named the 2016 Southwest Missouri Post-Secondary Counselor of the Year by the Southwest Missouri School Counselor Association (SMSCA).
Smotherman is a certified school counselor, licensed professional counselor-supervisor and registered play therapist-supervisor. She serves as the director of MSU's Play Therapy Institute and the coordinator of MSU's MS: Counseling Practicum & Internship.
