Hurricane Harvey dumped more than 50 inches of rain in parts of Texas - a historic, unprecedented storm in an era when there seems to be a new, historic storm every few years. Soon after, Hurricane Irma caused ruin and death in Florida and the Caribbean. Scientists continue to grapple with the question of how much climate change and global warming are to blame for the increased frequency of these destructive forces of nature.

Hofstra Professor Bob Brinkmann, an expert in sustainability, environment, and climate change, can discuss how warmer air and water mean wetter and possibly more intense hurricanes and tropical storms in the future. Click on his icon above to arrange an interview.
