Biography

Wayne Brewer is interested in the impact that physical activity has for individuals with a variety of metabolic and chronic conditions. His research focus is on the effect of behavioral education on physical activity levels for individuals with chronic low back pain and obesity. Currently, Brewer teaches Cardiopulmonary, Health Promotion and Wellness, and Exercise Testing / Prescription courses in the entry-level DPT curriculum.

2015 The purposes were to assess the bivariate and multivariate relationships among the subdomains of physical self-concept, self-esteem, and objective measures of physical fitness in young healthy female graduate students. Nineteen participants were recruited from a local university and completed the Physical Self-Description Questionnaire–Short Form (PSDQ–S) to assess each individual's perceptions of her global physical self-concept, self-esteem, and physical fitness.
