Biography

Dr. Mark Plunkett began his professional training and medical career over 30 years ago with a B.S in Biology from Duke University. He then received his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Following medical school he completed his research and training in GS at Duke University Medical Center. In addition he completed a tenth year of sub-specialty training in Congenital and Vascular procedures at Mattel Hospital. He has held faculty positions in at the University of Illinois and the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Plunkett is currently a Professor at the University of Illinois and a physician at the Hospital of Illinois Congenital Center.

He is board certified by the ABTS in Thoracic Procedures.
