Biography

Nancy J.M. Agbenu

Nancy J.M. Agbenu is an author and lecturer of German in the Department of Modern Languages and Literature. She is originally from Hamburg, Germany and has a background in journalism, music, linguistics, and African studies. Her research interest lies in classical and contemporary literature and music of German speaking artists of color. She is also interested in the intersection of European and African art and researches artistic developments within the diaspora. She previously taught at Pepperdine University and is passionate about furthering the next generation through multicultural education. Being of Ghanaian-German descent, Nancy J. Agbenu especially loves depicting untold and uplifting stories of African diaspora. Most of her books can be found both in English and German.
