
Alexandra (Alex) Sturm

Biography
Dr. Alex Sturm is a licensed clinical psychologist and associate professor of psychological science at LMU who specializes in neurodevelopmental disorders (autism, ADHD) and psychometrics. She earned a BS in Brain and Cognitive Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and her MA and PhD in Education with a specialization in Human Development and Psychology from the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). She completed predoctoral training at the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior, and postdoctoral training at the Center for Autism Research and Treatment and in educational assessment at the Center for Research on Evaluation Standards and Student Testing (CRESST) at UCLA. She has extensive experience developing interventions to support executive function across the lifespan. Her research at LMU broadly aims to promote equity and access for neurodivergent youth and adults.
