Akilah C. Thompson, EA

Akilah is a phenomenal international Motivational speaker with almost 10 years of public speaking experience. She firmly believes her life purpose is to inspire youth and adults across the world to “Release The BEaST” and achieve the BEST at everything they do. She began honing her speaking ability at North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University as a student leader and member of Toastmasters. She participated on winning case study teams for the Deloitte Southeast Case Study Competition and PricewaterhouseCoopers Xact Competition. She was President of the Aggie Economic Association, Omicron Delta Honor Society, Beta Alpha and was the Director of Programs for the Council of Presidents. In her student leadership roles, she frequently led meetings, moderated panel discussions and hosted or served as the Mistress of Ceremony for events. She fell in love with public speaking and upon graduation, she began volunteering to do workshops and moderate events at work and for the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) New York Chapter.

As a corporate professional and NABA board member, she was frequently invited to conferences, churches, colleges and high schools to speak on various topics. The common thread amongst all her workshops was that people left feeling inspired even if she was speaking on a technical topic. Inspiring youth and college students, is something she is extremely passionate about. Akilah overcame many obstacles throughout her life that could have destroyed her future. She shares stories of her trials and triumphs with her audiences to encourage and empower them to reach their fullest potential. She also uses her gifts as an actor, model, singer and fitness inspirator to further inspire, captivate, entertain and connect with her audiences and distinguish herself as an incredibly dynamic speaker.

She frequently delivers keynote addresses and conducts workshops at schools, colleges, non profit organizations and churches on professional and personal development topics as well as tax technical topics.
