Biography
Alison Taylor joined CAF Bank as Chief Executive Officer in December 2019 and leads the strategic focus on growing lending to charities and social purpose clients.
She believes in placing clients and colleagues at the heart of everything CAF does and this is reflected in the design of the transformation programme and leadership ethos she has instilled. A passionate advocate of the Bank's social impact she sees the potential for sustainable finance to strengthen clients' organisational resilience.
Before joining CAF, Alison spent many years at HSBC in corporate banking leadership roles. She also served as HSBC UK Chief of Staff on the Executive Committee which managed the transition of HSBC's ring-fenced bank HSBC UK and chaired the Sustainability and Inclusion & Diversity Committees of HSBC UK.
Initially Alison trained as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte working in corporate finance and mergers and acquisition across sectors in the UK and overseas. She then transitioned to banking by joining Clydesdale & Yorkshire Banking Group PLC to drive their leveraged finance business in London.
In addition to her day job, Alison is a Trustee of The Wallace Collection, a fundraiser for the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund, and a community volunteer for Westminster Connects.
