I have over ten years experience as a public speaker. I focus on three main areas -William Shakespeare; Gustav Holst; Art History and Curating. I charge a nominal fee to cover expenses only.

I worked for theRoyal Shakespeare Company for ten years, after which I was the Curator of the Holst Birthplace Museum for three years. I am now a Keeper of Art,working with both heritage paintings and the best in contemporary art.

I studied for my BA with the Open University, read for my MA at the Shakespeare Institute (University of Birmingham) and undertook further professional study at St. Andrews University (Cert MGS). I have given my talks all over England and lectured for both the Open University and the University of Warwick.

Gustav Holst: the Man and his Music

Gustav Holst: the Man and his Music
This is my most popular talk. As the curator of the Holst Birthplace Museum for over three years I had unique access to rare material. This is a very accessible talk illustrated with slides and musical extracts. It provides an overview of Holst’s contribution to English Music and an insight into his fascinating character. I have delivered this talk for Recorded Music Societies around the country as well as to other more general interest groups.
