Biography
Dr. Amir B. Ferreira Neto is Director of the Regional Economic Research Institute, and Assistant Professor of Economics at Florida Gulf Coast University. Originally from Brazil, Dr. Ferreira Neto earned his PhD from West Virginia University and joined the Lutgert College of Business in 2019. He has been leading the RERI since July 2020. His research interest lies in the intersection of regional and urban economics and creative economics, in particular focusing on urban amenities, labor markets and economic impact analysis. He is the author or co-author of over 30 peer-reviewed articles, and currently serves as co-editor of the Journal of Regional Analysis & Policy.
