Arjun Buxi is an Executive Coach to Silicon Valley Tech Company Leaders, a University Lecturer in Communication and Leadership, and an award-winning collegiate debater. He has spent ten years training and teaching others how to improve communication and leadership skills. He earned a MA in business and communication. He brings a lifelong experience of being part of family-owned businesses and helping students and entrepreneurs alike find their voice.

BUS 200L - Leadership Communication

I was invited by San Jose State University to develop a course called Leadership Communication for their MBA students. Based on my own materials, knowledge and experience, this is a "hands-on course designed to simulate business communication scenarios encountered by professionals. Students will practice and apply both practical and theoretical aspects of organizational communication, including mechanics, style, and appropriateness of messages and methods based on specific organizational situations."

In this thesis, I explore the efficacy of hunger striking as a method of exposing the unjustness of a powerful, repressive State. I confront the exclusion of oppressed
minorities from the arena of public debate based on the attributes that make them ‘different.’ As recourse, I argue that the minority dissident’s last resort for resisting the
State is the creation of bodily discourses and a spectacle of his/her suffering.
