Dr. Brown is a prolific author having been published in a variety of professional and popular journals, magazines, and online columns, including: Healthy Directions, American Psychiatric, Inner Peace Parenting Magazine and many others. He has had the privilege of being interviewed and a guest of a variety of television, radio, magazine, and newspaper columns. Dr. Brown has a bimonthly column with the Canadian Counselling & Psychotherapy Association and has published two books in recent years: Waiting to Live, 2010 and The Effects of Childhood Trauma on Adult Perception and Worldview, 2008. He anticipates publishing two additional books by the end of 2014."

Previous research has focused on safeguarding children and minimizing the effects of trauma. The intent was to determine the underlying factors that contribute to an adult's perception and worldview in relationship to childhood traumatic experiences.
