Dr. Barbara Marino is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at LMU. She joined the LMU faculty in 1996. Prior to that, Dr. Marino worked as a systems engineer at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C. on military IFF systems. From 1999 – 2002 Dr. Marino worked on optical acquisition and tracking systems in the digital signal processing research group at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Dr. Marino is responsible for the computer engineering portion of the curriculum. She has published and presented papers at national and international conferences on enhancing degraded image data. Dr. Marino is a member of the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) and the faculty moderator for the student branch of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE).
