Biography

Former Social Media / Wed editor for one of the world's most dynamic and interesting news platforms - Al Jazeera English (AJE) based in Doha, Qatar.

Worked on coverage of major news stories globally and in the Middle East, using innovative and creative online solutions.

One of the first journalists to get in touch online with Tunisian protesters and activists during December 2010 events, and since then the use of social media and online platforms has become even more vital to his work, and to Al Jazeera's coverage.

Experienced writer and freelance journalist, writing for numerous local and international publications.

Chartered Accountant with broad experience in all aspects of accounting, auditing and financial management. Direct experience with the banking sector in South Africa, Africa and the UK.
