Biography
Bill is a disabled Desert Storm veteran who has spent the last 15 years working through his own PTSD using drumming and rhythm. After starting a Djembe hand drumming class, he realized that his symptoms were diminishing. On entering college for vocational rehabilitation, he decided to focus on why rhythm helped so much and how he could use what he learned to help other. He realized that there is scientifically based evidence to prove that rhythm based medicines are more than just alternative or complimentary help, but is really a true healing modality. He found that rhythm healing can be used for Trauma, PTSD, Mood disorders, Cognitive Development, Cancer support, Dementia/Alzheimers, Drug and Alcohol recovery, and many other diseases.

Stress has also been shown to shrink vital parts of the brain which influence cognitive ability, proper chemical & electrical functioning levels in the body, and destabilize our genes. Rhythm sessions can reduce that stress and produce neurogenesis (birth of new neurons) in the brain. Regular Rhythm sessions can also facilitate self-expression and provide a channel for transforming frustration, anger, and aggression into the experience of creativity and self-mastery.
