Biography
Bill Treasurer is Chief Encouragement Officer of Giant Leap Consulting, a courage-building company. Giant Leap's mission is to help people and organizations be more courageous.
Bill is the originator of the new organizational development of courage-building, and the author of Courageous Leadership: A Program for Using Courage to Transform the Workplace. The program, published by Pfeiffer, has been taught in eight countries since its launch in 2011.
Bill is also the author of Leaders Open Doors (Open Book Editions, 2013) which focuses on the essential job of leaders as creators of opportunity for those they lead. The book holds a 5-Star rating on Amazon (with over 50 reviews).
Bill is also the author of the international bestseller, Courage Goes to Work (Berrett-Koehler, 2008). The book introduced the new organizational development practice of courage-building.
Bill's first book, RIGHT RISK (Berrett-Koehler, 2002), focuses on helping people make the right bold moves. Bill is also the chief editor of POSITIVELY M.A.D. (Berrett-Koehler, 2004), a compilation of stories from over 50 leading experts.
Giant Leap specializes in customizing courage-building and leadership development programs. GLC's clients include: NASA, Accenture, Saks Fifth Avenue, Hugo Boss, SPANX, the Centers for Disease Control, and the U.S. Veteran's Administration.
Prior to founding Giant Leap, Bill was an executive in Accenture's change management practice. Before that, Bill traveled throughout the world as a member of the U.S. High Diving Team, performing over 1500 high dives from heights that scaled to over 100 feet.
