Brandi Bradburn Holland
Clinical Assistant Professor, Production Film & Television Loyola Marymount University
Biography
In addition to her professional work, Brandi has taught at UCLA, Chapman University, and Florida State University, where she helped develop the BFA editing curriculum and mentored students who have gone on to win Academy Awards and contribute to some of the most celebrated films in contemporary cinema. Her work as an educator is informed by her deep industry experience, and she brings a strong focus on performance, story structure, and editorial rhythm to the classroom.
Currently, Brandi serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Loyola Marymount University’s School of Film and Television, where she teaches editing theory, post-production, and narrative storytelling. She is fully committed to craft, professionalism, and mentoring the next generation of filmmakers.
Brandi lives in LA with her husband, a fellow ACE editor, and their three incredible children-- two in college, and one still at home. She enjoys playing guitar, often alongside her kids who share her love for music. She also has an unapologetic habit (addiction?) of collecting guitars with an ever-growing stash of pedals and amps. There are currently 14 guitars in the house and counting.

Testimonials
Barry Jenkins
https://vimeo.com/1043558406Director/Writer
At the Directors Guild screening of Mufasa: The Lion King, during the filmmaker panel, Director/Writer Barry Jenkins stopped the conversation when he noticed Brandi Bradburn Holland in the audience.
transcription:
Oh, my God. So I went to film school at Florida State University, at Florida State University. And I didn't think I could make movies. And somehow, I had this professor who believed in me. And I made this short film. James (Laxton) shot it. It was the first story I ever made that really made me believe I could be a filmmaker and I dedicated it to that professor. And she is sitting right there. This is Brandi. These lights were in my eyes so I couldn't see you. But I just saw you. Thank you so much. No Moonlight, no Beale Street, no Underground Railroad, no Mufasa without this woman. I love you. Thank you so much.
