Biography

An inventor, author an entrepreneur, I have founded four technology companies since moving to California in the mid 1990s. My current company, Worldwide Lexicon, focuses on translation and localization technology.

In Sept 2012, we launched xlatn.com (like us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/xlatn ), an online buyers guide and consultancy for translation and localization technology and services. We explain and review translation tools and services, in terms that businesses and ordinary users can understand. In February 2013, we launched www.dermundo.com, a multilingual link sharing service that enables web users to share any web page to readers who speak any language.

In my presentation, I discuss practical ways to globalize your company and its products. I am comfortable talking to both technical audiences (I am a software developer) as well as non-technical audiences (I am also an experienced small business owner). For example, I am interested in presenting at travel oriented conferences about practical steps tourism related businesses can take to make themselves visible and accessible in many languages.
