Biography
Brigid is a health law attorney and organizational leader with 13+ years experience in regulatory compliance, human resources, joint ventures, operations, hospital contracting, physician practice mergers, change management, physician recruitment, resident training, GME funding, board governance, coding & documentation, billing policies and practices, EHR adoption, and Accountable Care Organization planning.
She is currently a partner with the law firm Harris, Beach. Prior to joining Harris, Beach, Brigid was General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for UB|MD Physicians Group, a 500-physician multi-specialty university practice plan that is affiliated with the University at Buffalo Medical School.
Prior to joining UB|MD, Brigid spent four years as an assistant Erie County Attorney, assigned to provide general counsel services to the Erie County Medical Center.

Financial Arrangements Between Hospitals and Physicians
Overview of various models of affiliation between hospitals and physician groups including the employment model, independent contractor arrangements, co-management, and clinical integration.
