Lived in an African Ghetto for 6 months (personal)
Growing up in South Africa during the Apartheid years, I became conditioned to fear black people. So, in an attempt to conquer my fear, I moved to Guguletu (a South African shanty town) and lived there for 6 months as the only white man for miles in a community of 100,000 black people... Each year, the XL Results Foundation (a global community of socially responsible entrepreneurs) hosts an award for the person living the most extraordinary life. Out of 3000 entrepreneurs nominated for this award globally, I had the privilege of coming in 2nd place.

During my time in the music industry (as a song writer, producer and guitarist), I co-wrote a song that went to #1 on the South African charts and stayed there for 6 weeks.
