Lived in an African Ghetto for 6 months (personal)
Growing up in South Africa during the Apartheid years, I became conditioned to fear black people. So, in an attempt to conquer my fear, I moved to Guguletu (a South African shanty town) and lived there for 6 months as the only white man for miles in a community of 100,000 black people... During my time in the music industry (as a song writer, producer and guitarist), I co-wrote a song that went to #1 on the South African charts and stayed there for 6 weeks.
