Biography
Cass Phillipps has been working in the startup and technology industry as an event producer for over 5 years, designing highly engaging and educational conferences on social gaming, music technology, team growth, and business development. Some of her clients have included Inside Social Apps, the SF MusicTech Summit, Unleashed Conference, SF Beta, and Startup Exit Seminars. She is the creator and Executive Producer of the internationally renowned conference FailCon, which educates founders on common startup mistakes and how to prepare for and recover from them.
Cass speaks with business owners and managers on the importance of failure in their corporate development, how to incorporate an acceptance of it into their work, and why this is important for their success. She also coaches startups on Community Engagement / Social Media, Consumer Outreach, Communication, Usability, Gamification, and Public Relations.
Cass graduated from the University of Chicago with BA in Human Development.
