Biography

Dr. Chris Tam, co-founder of Integrated Nanotherapeutics, obtained her B.Sc. in Biochemistry from McGill University and her Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Alberta. She has extensive research experience in biochemistry, cell biology as well as drug design and development. Prior to founding Integrated Nanotherapeutics, Chris worked at the Life Sciences Institute at the University of British Columbia, where she was part of the supervisory team for graduate and post-graduate scientists working on the development of lipid nanoparticles for the delivery of macromolecule drugs, such as siRNA and DNA, as well as small molecule drugs. Many of these lipid nanoparticle drug formulations have direct implication for the treatment of a wide range of diseases including cancers, hematological diseases, osteoporosis, autoimmune disorders and diabetes.
