Biography
Dr. Carpino earned her BA in Politics from Fairfield University and her MA and PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to teaching at Cedar Crest, she taught at Santa Clara University and JFK University in California.
Dr. Carpino also serves at the Research Coordinator for the Lehigh Valley Research Consortium, a program of the Lehigh Valley Association of Independent Colleges, which connects local faculty with community organizations to conduct community-based research. She is also the Program Manager for the Rider Pool Foundation’s Collective Impact Fellowship, a nine-month opportunity for local community leaders to receive training in collective impact and community engagement strategies.
At Cedar Crest, Dr. Carpino teaches courses on women in politics, public policy, international relations, and American politics.
