Biography

Christopher J. Anthony's research focuses on promoting children’s positive development. His work emphasizes character education, social skills, resilience and academic competence. He co-authors widely used assessments that serve hundreds of thousands of children in the United States and are used for reserach in over 30 countries. His recent work includes extensive scale development work for new measures of social skills, emotional behavior concerns and academic competence as well as cross-cultural studies of child well-being.

Ratings of Students’ Stress: Initial Reliability and Validity Evidence for a Brief Stress and Resilience Assessment

In this study, we developed and initially validated a Stress Indicators Scale using five samples of teachers, parents, and students. We also identified the five best items from the scale that could inform development of a brief version of the scale for broader applications in comprehensive universal screening.
