Biography
Cindy Sample is a retired CEO of a nationwide mortgage banking company who decided plotting murder was more interesting than plodding through paperwork. She is the award-winning author of a humorous mystery series set in the California gold country. DYING FOR A DATE was voted # 1 in romance in the 2010 P&E Readers Poll. The sequel, DYING FOR A DANCE was a finalist for the 2012 LEFTY Award for best humorous mystery. Cindy Sample enjoys sharing her journey with presentations ranging from "You're never too old to follow your dreams" to the "Pothole-filled path to publication." She has served on the boards of the California Mortgage Bankers Association, Sacramento Opera, Sacramento YWCA and is a past President of the Sacramento Chapter of Sisters in Crime. Cindy is currently working on DYING FOR A DAIQUIRI and enjoying the research!
