Biography
Dean Wingate joined the UC Hastings faculty in 1980 after working as an associate in the Litigation Department of the San Francisco law firm of Morrison & Foerster. He attended the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana for both his undergraduate and legal education. While at the University he served on the Undergraduate Student Association Steering Committee, the Illinois Union Board, the University Concert and Entertainment Board, and as president of the Black Law Student Association. In 1980, he was honored as one of the first recipients of the University of Illinois Black Alumni Association "10" Outstanding Persons Award. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Community Housing Development Corporation of North Richmond.
