Biography

Over the last 6 years, I have worked as a Pre-Employment Advisor at Adult Language and Learning . In this position I have assisted over 300 Newcomers with their integration into the Canadian labour market. My duties include facilitating workshops focusing on workplace culture, networking, soft skill improvement, interviewing and cover letter/resume development, along with helping clients one on one to reach their employment goals.

Another aspect of my current position is developing and delivering presentations, keynote addresses and training on the topic of Intercultural Competency in doing this over the last 5 years I have addressed over 3000+ individuals across Southwestern Ontario. I am a true believer in lifelong learning and in 2010, I obtained my Certification as a Personality Dimension Trainer, in 2012 I achieved Toastmaster accreditation and 2013 received Certification as an Intercultural Competency Specialist.

I consider myself an "Autodidact" and an all-around computer nerd with a love for social media. I believe that knowing the dangers and benefits of this medium is imperative in the process of job searching and personal branding. In 2013 I earned 2 online certification in Social Media Management, and since then I have developed and delivered training on Virtual Skills Building and Online Personal Branding both in person and via online webinars. In June 2015 I completed an 1 week Facilitation Certification Course at Humber College to better hone in on my desire to produce quality training.

I have been described as a dynamic, engaging, and centertaining presenter of information and My goal is to facilitate stimulating and informative presentations, workshops and online webinars.
