Biography

Corrina Laughlin is an Instructor within the college of Communication and Fine Arts in the Communication Studies department whose research and teaching focuses on Media Studies. She received her B.A. in English and Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara and she holds an M.A. in English from New York University and a Ph.D. in Communication from the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Pennsylvania. She has presented her research on the intersection between digital culture and religion nationally and internationally and has been published in peer-reviewed journals in Communication, Media Studies and Anthropology. She is the author of the award-winning book, Redeem All: How digital life is changing evangelical culture available from the University of California Press. And, she is currently working on the research that will comprise her second book. In addition to her academic work, she has been involved in producing ethnographic and documentary films that have premiered at film festivals and academic conferences.
