Biography
Cynthia L. Lieu, PharmD, BCNSP is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy. She is currently the Director of Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experience (IPPE) Programs.
Dr. Lieu received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of the Pacific, then completed a Residency in Hospital Pharmacy at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont. She was previously the Nutritional Support Pharmacist at the Buffalo General Hospital and Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York (SUNY) at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy.
A member of the USC faculty since 1988, Dr. Lieu teaches a variety of subjects, including nutrition in health and disease, nutrition support, fluid & electrolyte therapy, sterile I.V. compounding, osteoporosis, infertility, and endometriosis.
Dr. Lieu practices as the Nutrition Support Pharmacist at the Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center, providing care to patients who receive nutrition support, both in the hospital and at home. She has been a Board Certified Nutrition Support Pharmacist (BCNSP) since 1992.
