Focused on children, adolescents, adults and families on behavioral, academic and addiction issues.


DANA CABALLERO joined in 2000 as part of the field department at the Orange County Academic Center. She later transitioned into academic teaching and has taught field as well as academic courses at the foundation and concentration levels. She currently teaches at the Virtual Academic Center and participates in the admissions review process for the school.

A licensed clinical social worker, she has had extensive experience working with children, adolescents, adults and families on behavioral, academic and addiction issues. She served as a provider of mental health services on campus within a public school system. She also volunteered with the National Alliance on Mentall Illness, working in its school-based program to reduce the stigma of behavioral health issues in student populations. In addition, she has conducted play therapy trainings for other behavioral health professionals and provided numerous school-based trainings for teachers and district staff related to managing behavioral health issues in the school setting.

Caballero maintains a private practice serving adults and children and supervises associate clinical social workers in the licensure process.
