Biography
Daniel Strachman is a financial services expert with more than 25 years of Wall Street experience. He is recognized as an expert in all aspects of the investment management industry including fund structuring, product development and marketing.
Throughout his extensive career, Daniel has worked in hedge fund and mutual fund product development and marketing as well as institutional brokerage and investment management at firms including Apex Fund Services, Cantor Fitzgerald & Company, Morgan Stanley & Company and The Orbitex Group of Funds. He is an expert in all aspects of retail and institutional product development and distribution for both traditional and alternative investment products and services.
Daniel is the author of nine books on investment strategy, the hedge fund industry, and investment management including The Fundamentals of Hedge Fund Management, The Long and Short of Hedge Funds and Getting Started In Hedge Funds. He is also the author of Julian Robertson, a Tiger in the land of Bulls and Bears. Daniel’s books have translated into Japanese, Chinese and Korean. His articles have appeared in The Financial Times, The Boston Globe, Interview Magazine, The New York Post and American Banker. He is the co-founder of the educational web-portal HEDGEAnswers.com and the Investment Management Due Due Diligence Association.
Daniel is an adjunct professor of finance and The Florida State University College of Business.
He is also a FINRA neutral arbitrator.
