Biography
Founder and CEO of Swiftsure Innovations, Deanne brings her experiences as a critical care nurse to develop medical devices geared toward improving the standard of oral hygiene in intensive care. As CEO, Deanne has built an excellent team with requisite skills for developing and globally commercializing medical devices. Deanne has recruited an exceptional advisory committee with experience building scalable companies to support product development, regulatory, business development, and Swiftsure’s IP portfolio. She is passionate about providing nurses with the resources they need to do their jobs effectively and improve patient outcomes and satisfaction while reducing healthcare costs. Deanne received a Bachelor of Nursing and Bachelor of Business Administration from Memorial University of Newfoundland. Most recently Deanne was accepted and attended the Harvard Business School Executive Education Program, Women’s Leadership Forum, 2023.

Swiftsure Innovations has closed a $2.3 Million CAD Seed funding round. The round was led by Pelorus VC with participation from Sandpiper Ventures and pan-Canadian consortium MEDTEQ+ and several other pre-seed investors.
