Biography
With a background within the accountancy profession with Arthur Young (Now Ernst & Young) and BDO, Dennis moved to HSBC and worked within internal audit and compliance. He then moved to Prudnetial Portfolio Managers Limited as Director Risk Management before taking a similar role in HSBC Insurance Brokers Limited. More recently he formed Risk Reward Limited a UK based internationally trading training and risk consultancy which has now been trading for 10 years.
With a background covering all areas of the financial services arena, he is a specialist in treasury and market risk, credit and operational risk, enterprise risk and stress testing. His economic skills applied to these areas makes his a lively speaker. He has also spoken on issues as diverse as the secret life of a consultant or the way the world works. He is an expert in international regulation adn the impact this has on society.
He chairs the Risk Forum of the CISI and is a Council member of the ICAEW. A prominent author his most recent books were Frontiers of Risk Management (Euromoney), the nathematics of banking & finance (Wiley) and an Introduction to money laudnering deterrence (Wiley/CISI)
