Biography
Derek McKinnon is a full-time professor in the School of Health Sciences and Emergency Services.
He's is the coordinator of the Paramedic program. Previously, he taught Anatomy and Physiology courses to Pre-Health and General Arts and Science students.
He was a Critical Care Flight Paramedic with the Ministry of Health Air Ambulance Team and was also employed with the Greater City of Sudbury Emergency Medical Services Division as an Advanced Care Paramedic from 2000 until 2006.
Derek has a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in Pre-Hospital Care from Charles Strut University in Australia and also has teaching experience with the Ministry of Health as an Ambulance Service Instructor.
