Biography
As a sergeant in the United States Air Force, Destiny Simon's last job was diesel mechanic for the Minuteman missile, and then she trained and became a refrigeration and air-conditioning mechanic. She has always enjoyed working with her hands and enjoys learning how things work which has helped her become a good mechanic. She wrote "Auto Education for Bling-Bling Women" to help her friends when she is not available as she is always the go-to for car problems. Most of her girlfriends were divorced or single with children and income was a challenge so repairing their cars would cause stress getting it fixed. Her friends knew that she could tell them what was wrong with the car and if she could, she would fix it for them. She didn’t mind helping because she enjoys doing it.

At the Natividad Medical Center, I remolded the Pediatrics Cancer wards playroom, having lost a child from cancer I understood how important it was to have one with lots of toys.

I was stationed at Maxwell AFB in Mongomery Alabama and in one day we had 17 Tornados in one day. I was able to volunteer with the Red Cross for a week helping people in need.
