EDUCATOR: More than a dozen years teaching undergraduate and master's level students in higher education and people of all ages in informal learning environments.
RAISING DIGITAL NATIVES: Helping teachers and parents navigate the research on kids and media. I give talks at PTA meetings, hold workshops and do consulting for schools and parent groups.
WRITER AND RESEARCHER: Extensive archival and oral history research experience in media studies. Author of forthcoming book, Black Power TV (Duke University Press), as well as peer-reviewed journal articles, reference articles, and book reviews.
